what you can expect…

The days are long, the weather’s mild – it’s the perfect time to begin your yoga journey. Our friendly, down-to-earth beginners class runs every Tuesday evening, and we’d love to welcome you to the mat.

You’ll learn the foundations of hatha yoga through flowing sequences that gently stretch and strengthen your body and mind. There’s always a teacher and an assistant in the room, so you’ll get plenty of support and guidance as you grow in confidence.

What you can expect:
– A calm, encouraging space where everyone is new to yoga
– Expert guidance from two teachers in every class
– Practices that help you feel stronger, more flexible, and more grounded
– A warm, welcoming community

Peacock Tree Yoga has been supporting beginners since 2007. By listening to our students and refining our approach over the years, we’ve created one of the most complete and well-loved beginners yoga programmes in York.

costs and timings…

Your first class is free, then it’s just £40 a month.
We encourage you to stick with it for at least three months to really feel the benefits. Maybe there’s a friend you’d like to bring along too? What a fabulous thing for both of you to do in the summer .

We’d encourage you to give it a proper shot and come for 3 months to truly feel all the benefits. Please just come! Don’t wait. We have an assistant teacher in the room, so are always able to give you a warm welcome and the time and attention you need.
