Yoga Ninja: Flying Ashtangi
Following on from ‘Yoga Ninja I: The Complete Ashtanga Primary Series’, this second Yoga Ninja workshop – co-hosted by Lilley and Daniel Harvey – offers York’s strongest yogis an opportunity to elevate their practice – literally!
Over the course of 3 hours, you’ll learn a variety of techniques and drills for safely working your way towards handstands – which are key to the graceful ‘jump backs’ and ‘jump throughs’ that characterise this dynamic form of yoga.
We’ll also practice a series of postures for deepening our back bends and progressing towards ‘dropbacks’ (a term used to describe the transition from standing to full wheel and back again).
Suitable for both previous attendees and wannabe ninjas (with a strong practice or background in sports/athletics), this progressive workshop will build on the strength work we’ve done in our classes over the Summer months and bring the season to a stunning finale!
Add to that a teaching on yogic wisdom for the season and a led relaxation, and you have the perfect mix of ingredients for what will be a vital, uplifting and inspiring morning.
